Interpreting takes two forms. In consecutive interpreting the speaker pauses and the interpreter relays; it suits small meetings, notary procedures and official appointments. In simultaneous interpreting the rendering is real-time and requires technical infrastructure such as booths and headsets; it is preferred for conferences and large events. In procedures carried out before a notary, if one of the parties does not speak Turkish, the presence of a sworn interpreter is a legal requirement. This request is common in real estate sales, the drawing up of powers of attorney and company incorporation. In interpreting, preparation shows directly in the result.
